Hello and welcome! From my independent gallery in beautiful Devon, I bring you a curated selection of incredible artists from all corners of the UK. It's a privilege to work with both renowned names and the bright new talents shaping the future of art and I'm delighted to offer pieces for a wide range of collectors.

Today I would like to introduce you to my most recent gallery member, emerging artist, Olivia Tew. Olivia works from her cottage garden studio in a small Devon village on the outskirts of Exeter.

Through her distinctive use of colour, expressive mark marking and loose gestural textured surfaces her uplifting work evokes a sense of energy, freedom and nostalgia. It was an absolute pleasure to visit her garden studio and see the richness of her work in that setting and learn more about her practice.

With a background in textile design, these days her art practice is primarily focused on painting, mainly deploying her preferred medium of oil paints to create an impasto surface. Through her distinctive use of colour, expressive mark marking and loose gestural textured surfaces her uplifting work evokes a sense of energy, freedom and nostalgia. She is an accomplished portrait painter and the figures she paints emanate a real depth of feeling.

For her most recent collection Olivia has turned her focus towards still life depictions of floral arrangements and everyday scenes. She created vibrant pieces bursting with optimism, her loose expressive style giving a sense of spontaneity and freedom.

I love the romantic, untamed beauty of the paintings, the relaxed, carefree aura they emanate, not to mention the delicious colour palette that somehow manages to be both soft and bold at the same time. I’m thrilled to be able to bring you this early collection of works from such an exciting emerging artist with a very promising future ahead of her!
