Suze’s papercut collages explore themes of faded nostalgia. She has always been drawn to old signage, dated buildings and interiors and the people, history and stories connected to those spaces.
Minimal yet detailed, her art reflects fragile beauty and disappearing memories from the British seaside, American road trips, cafes, holiday resorts and amusement parks.
Suze has a BA(hons) in Illustration from UWE Bristol and an MA in Graphic Design from the London College of Communication. Since her college days, she has focused her creative practice on papercutting, bookmaking and figure drawing. She has always sought to use recycled and found materials in her work, to give new life and beauty to discarded and forgotten materials.
She also creates art installations and works as a live portrait artist at events, with recent clients including Notion, The Ferry Building and Altitude Summit.
