Lucie is a Bristol educated illustrator, graduating from UWE with a First-Class Honours degree in Illustration in 2003. Initially forging a career in editorial and commercial illustration, with clients like The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Penguin Books, Conran, Heals and IKEA, Lucie pivoted in 2019 to focus on live portrait art through her unique pop‑up concept, Rubbish Portraits.
Based near Bristol, Lucie brings humour and honesty to everything she draws, including this exhibition, despite not being much of a wild swimmer herself. She prefers her swims chlorinated, her beaches sandy and her cocktails cold.
