Provenance - The artist's studio
London-based artist Jessica Biggs specialises in oil and watercolour painting. Drawing inspiration from the city’s iconic green spaces, her work often captures the distinct atmospheres of Hyde Park and Holland Park, just a stone's throw from her Notting Hill studio.
Her work is deeply influenced by the changing atmosphere of these London gardens. She finds equal inspiration in the sharp contrast of winter clouds and the lush foliage of August. In the studio, fresh floral arrangements like Delphiniums and spring blossoms serve as her constant subjects and companions.
Originally from Ireland, Biggs often returns there to capture the rugged beauty of Irish landscapes and seascapes. Her portfolio is diverse, ranging from delicate bouquets of wild flowers to large-scale, vibrant still life paintings. Her work is characterised by a focus on light and natural textures, whether she is working en plein air or in the studio.
Her practice has gained significant traction within the London circuit, featuring in numerous gallery exhibitions across the capital. Beyond her studio work, she maintains a prolific commissions practice, with notable acquisitions held in private international collections across the U.S. and a permanent installation at The Ritz, London.
