This piece grew from studies of sailboats in Falmouth Harbour, along the Helford Passage and on travels in Greece. I’m often drawn to their simple forms, soft colours and striped sails. There’s something meditative about the way they gently glide across the sea on a calm summer’s day, before anchoring in small port towns ready for supper.
