Do you buy art for others for Christmas? Ask for art for Christmas? Treat yourself?!
Despite my house being filled to the rafters with the art I showcase, I still LOVE receiving art as a gift the most Some of my most prized possessions are pieces of art I have unwrapped on Christmas morning!
There is something very special about knowing that you are the only person in the world to own a piece of art that another human created with their own hands and from their own heart!
It also speaks of the person who chose it for you. Art is such a personal thing and the fact that someone spent time looking for that unique, meaningful gift for you is truly precious.
This can bring you happiness and a warm fuzzy feeling inside every time you see it on your wall. A reminder of the thoughtfulness of that person, not to mention elevating your interior design kudos in the process!
I believe in slow interior design, adding special things that speak of you over many years so that you are surrounded with items that have a story to tell. Art is a huge part of that.
I had fun putting these gift guides together! It was a lovely reminder of the breadth of amazing artists that I represent and the beautiful pieces that I have in the gallery. Prices of things on my website start at £30, there are limited edition prints from £45 and ceramics from £65 so you don’t have to spend £££££ to give something very special indeed (although if you have that kind of budget who am I to stop you?!!) I also sell gift cards… Just saying.
Anyway, there are my thoughts on gifting art, how about you? Is there art on your Christmas list? Are you planning on gifting someone else the joy of art?! I’d love to hear your art gift stories!
All of the pieces below can be found on the website in the art shop or via the artist's profiles here
PS. When you sign up to my newsletter you will receive a code for 10% off your first art purchase (just incase you need a little nudge!) You also get priority access to art drops and treats!
