Celia is known for her striking pieces featuring bold floral motifs and enriching colour, which radiate energy and joy. Her paintings explore different themes all deeply tied to nostalgia and identity. The vibrant colourful works evoke personal memories and experiences.
Celia mainly paints on handmade rag cotton papers which offer a wonderfully textured surface and naturally rough edges. She is proud to work mainly with emulsion, enjoying the depth and intensity of colour that each paint gives.
Painting is Celia's meditative escape. It provides her with a sense of control reflected in her compositions, colour combinations and neat edges juxtaposed with the ragged edges of the paper.
As well as featuring in high end interior design projects, her work has been showcased in exhibitions, online shows and various collaborations in the London art scene and beyond. When Celia is not painting, she runs art classes and workshops for children in and around West London.
