From her loft room studio, Sandra's artistic process often involves working on multiple canvases simultaneously. Through layers of colour and texture, built up and then revealed with expressive mark-making, she creates a rich history on each surface.
The occasional addition of collage elements further enhances this tactile quality as she seeks abstract connections through chance encounters of shapes and fragments. The resulting artworks appear deceptively simple, presenting flattened forms that often overlap textured and weathered backgrounds, subtly referencing her love for her garden and the joy of holidays in Greece.
